Our Staff
Staff at Tinkers Hatch have extensive experience of working with people with a learning difficulty. Over 50% of staff hold at least a level 3 diploma in health and social care. We are constantly providing our staff with further training to support our clients.

Community Garden
East Hoathly Community Garden has become an important focal point for some of the Tinkers clients and they really look forward to their weekly visits. They are learning a multitude of new skills and gardening knowledge and making solid friendships along the way.
Community and therapeutic values have been formented by everyone working alongside people from different backgrounds and needs and this purposeful ‘togetherness’ often results in increasing confidence, communication skills, and pride in their work We are planning to do many more immersive community events in the spring / summer, including exhibiting in the local village fetes, establishing woodcraft sessions, and participation in East Hoathly village events. These future plans will include more people from Tinkers, including staff, and organisers are always open to suggestions and new ideas.

Daily Life at Tinkers
Daily life at Tinkers Hatch follows the routine of a normal family life, with clients involved in all aspects of running the home through their forum.
Education, Leisure and Social
We provide oppurtunities for leisure, education and social interaction by encouraging and supporting residents to explore their interests and talents, and by continually developing person-centered planning.
