Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – Sgt. K G Gresty
Kenneth Gaston Gresty, of Handforth, Cheshire, joined the RAF as a Boy Entrant on 27th September 1938. He later remustered as an Airman u/t Air Gunner and after completing his training he joined 219 Squadron at Catterick. He was lost on 17th April 1941 serving as a Sergeant with 105 Squadron, flying in Blenheims from Swanton Morley. His Blenheim IV, T2141, was shot down off the Brittany coast by Me109’s during an anti shipping patrol.
Sgt. LL Evered and Sgt. IG Sarjeant were also lost.
Gresty was 19. His name is on the Runnymede Memorial, Panel 19.
