Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – Sgt. J H Fripp
Joffre Harry Fripp joined the RAFVR about August 1937 as an Airman u/t Pilot. Called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training at 10 FTS Ternhill on No. 13 Course which ran from 9th September to 6th November 1939.
Fripp later joined 248 Squadron and is first mentioned in the squadron’s ORB on 6th June 1940. He served with 248 throughout the Battle of Britain and was still with the squadron on 3rd November 1940.

His subsequent service is currently undocumented until he was commissioned in April 1942.
Fripp was released from the RAF in 1945 as a Flight Lieutenant.
He was commissioned in the RAFVR in September 1949.
Fripp died in 1973.
