Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – Sgt. J Francis
John Francis joined the RAF in February 1936 as an Aircrafthand. He later remustered as an Airman u/t Air Gunner after the outbreak of war.
With his training completed, he was serving with 23 Squadron at Collyweston by 4th June 1940 as a Corporal. He was promoted to Sergeant in July.
Francis was last mentioned in the Squadron ORB on 30th August 1940.
His subsequent service is currently undocumented but it is believed that he survived the war.
