Thomas Dawson joined the RAF about December 1938 as an Aircrafthand. He later volunteered for flying duties and after completing gunnery training he joined 235 Squadron.
He was serving as a Corporal when he flew his first operational sortie as an air gunner with 235 on 24th May 1940. Dawson was promoted to Sergeant in June 1940.
He was still serving with 235 in November 1940.
His subsequent service is currently undocumented though it is known that he survived the war as he served in the RAFVR from 1948 to 1951.
