Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – Sgt. A S Davis
Alfred Stuart Davis joined the RAFVR about March 1939 as an Airman u/t Aircrew. Called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training and joined 235 Squadron on 18th July 1940.
He flew his first sortie on 21st July.
He was posted with his flight to Aldergrove on 19th November 1940, where it combined with a flight from 236 Squadron to reform 272 Squadron.
He flew his first sortie with 272 on 28th November.
His subsequent service is currently undocumented though it is known that he survived the war and died in 1980.
