Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – AC2 W Cowen
William Cowen joined the RAFVR about June 1940 as an Aircrafthand. He volunteered as an Airman u/t Radio Operator and was sent to Yatesbury on a short radar course.
He joined 25 Squadron at Martlesham Heath on 25th August 1940. He flew his first operational sortie on 1st September and his last with 25 Squadron on 29th October.
Cowen’s subsequent service is currently undocumented but he does not appear in the casualty lists and it may be assumed that he survived the war.
