Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – AC2 G Cottam
Gerald Cottam joined the RAFVR in June 1940 as an Aircrafthand. He later volunteered for flying duties and was sent to Yatesbury for a short radar course. He joined 25 Squadron at North Weald in early October 1940 and flew his first operational sortie on the 7th.
Cottam’s subsequent service is currently undocumented but he does not appear in the casualty lists and it may be assumed that he survived the war.
