Privacy Statement The Airmen’s Stories – P/O V A Carter
Victor Arthur Carter was born in 1917 and joined the RAFVR about April 1939 as an Airman u/t Pilot. Called up on 1st September 1939, he carried out his training at 1 EFTS and 10 FTS, was commissioned on 7th September 1940 and went to 6 OTU to convert to Hurricanes.
He was posted to 615 Squadron on 28th September and moved to 607 Squadron at Tangmere on 9th October. In 1942 Carter transferred to the Administrative Branch.
His subsequent service is currently undocumented until 1945 when he was released from the RAF as a Flight Lieutenant.
He died on 18th August 1991.
